Another BDP cllr becomes mokoko

The Boswelakoko ward councillor in Molepolole North constituency, Seka Kgosiemang has resigned from the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP).

“I have decided to contest as an independent candidate (mokoko). I have been a councillor for this ward for 10 years. My Bulela Ditswe primary elections appeal was not handled well. I will ensure that the party loses this constituency,” Kgosiemang said after she quit.

She said she was shocked last month when the BDP central committee changed its decision for a rerun in the ward without consulting her. The Kweneng region BDP chairperson, Leo Motlhophi has confirmed Kgosiemang’s resignation.
