A meeting called to discuss the status of volleyball side, Diphatsa failed to find a solution on Wednesday. Instead, the Botswana Volleyball Federation (BVF) executive committee meeting decided to involve Diphatsa and its sponsor, the Botswana Defence Force (BDF) whose decision to cut down its sports teams has precipitated a crisis in local sports. Diphatsa wants to remain a member of the BVF even without the support of the BDF but the BDF is opposed to the arrangement.

BVF vice president-technical, George Keotsene said the federation is willing to mediate between the two parties. “The bottom line is that we are an affected party in this matter,” he told Mmegi Sport.

He said they have requested to meet with BDF representatives after which they will meet Diphatsa.
