Talks to lure Lentsweletau-Mmopane MP, Moeng Pheto to join the Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) have collapsed. The UDC has been trying to lure the former minister, since he defected from the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) in April.

Meanwhile the UDC spokesperson Moeti Mohwasa has said he is not aware that talks with Pheto have collapsed.
