BTCL promotes digital inclusion

Botswana Telecommunications Corporation Limited (BTCL) says it continues to be responsive to the needs of Batswana by donating to different communities countrywide.

As part of efforts to promote digital inclusion, BTCL recently donated 20 computers during the World Telecommunications and Information Society Day (WTISD) commemorations in Selebi Phikwe. BTCL communications manager, Golekanye Molapisi says as a responsible corporate citizen and a leading telecommunications service provider, the company plays a significant role in ensuring that Batswana keep in touch through modern technology regardless of where they may be located.  We want to bring these amenities closer so that businesses and communities have access to ICT services, which are crucial in supporting the local industry, he said. BTCL says it strives to contribute to the development of the local economies as many sectors rely on telecommunications services.
