Leopard mauls 12-year-old boy

A 12-year-old boy is recovering at Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital in Francistown after a leopard mauled and scarred him last week in the remote settlement of Khwai near Moremi Game Reserve.

Reports from the area indicate that the boy sustained injuries to his head and both his hands.

It is understood the leopard snuck into a hut the young man was sleeping in with his brother at 1am before attacking him.
