Deputy head guilty of assault

Lehutshelo Junior Secondary School deputy head teacher, Lawrence Stofell ,on Friday, received a suspended sentence after the Hukuntsi Magistrate Dumisani Basupi convicted him on four counts of indecent assault.

It has been found that on different dates in February 2011, Stofell indecently assaulted four female students by touching their buttocks, thighs and breasts. He was found guilty of three counts out of four. However, the verdicts were suspended for two years on condition that he does not commit any criminal offence. (BOPA)
