Only eight months into his post as the Botswana National Youth Council (BNYC) executive director, Fidelis Molao has quit.

Molao announced on Wednesday at a press conference that he was resigning his plum job to focus on politics. Earlier this year, Youth and Sports Minister, Shaw Kgathi gave BNYC staff up to March 30 to stop being active members of political parties. While he says that he is sad to be leaving BNYC, Molao maintains that he was not pushed.
