Suspects in the football tickets scandal are likely to be arraigned in court, senior soccer officials said yesterday. Speaking at a press conference in Gaborone, Botswana Premier League (BPL) board chairman, Mokganedi Molefe said they have been informed that the suspects will appear in court to face charges.

“What we have been told is that the two gentlemen involved are being charged. The case is with the police,” he said. He was backed by BPL chief executive officer, Bennett Mamelodi who said the suspects have been grilled by the police.

“The Attorney General has been brought into the picture regarding this issue of tickets because once investigations have been completed, the matter will go to the courts. I can conform that people have been interviewed regarding that issue. The police are handling it,” he said.
