TAFIC plan Maun and Gantsi tour

FRANCISTOWN: TAFIC have lined-up a week-long training tour to prepare for the 2010-2011 soccer season. Before the tour, the Premier League campaigners will be on a two-week break to give their players time to relax before the next season starts.

"We are giving the players two weeks' break to rest and relax as from next week up to June 27. After the break, we will be going on a week's training tour of Maun and Gantsi where we will be playing with the two towns' local football clubs," TAFIC spokesman Thomas Chabalala told Mmegi Sport.

"The aim of this tour is to recruit more supporters from the region as we have realised that we have many fans from Maun and Gantsi. To an extent, we are giving our players exposure. We hope to get more strikers that can boost our striking force as we will be playing with the teams for that region," he said.
