Michael Mzwinila’s 12-year jail sentence for the 2003 Bank of Baroda armed robbery has been reduced by 16 months and 24 days to factor in the time he spent in custody awaiting trial.


The Court of Appeal on Friday upheld Mzwinila’s 12-year jail sentence but backdated it to include the time he spent behind bars before he was convicted and jailed in 2010.
