They Died In The Service Of God

There is nothing in this world that is as sure as death, yet, there is nothing as uncertain as the time of death. Similarly uncertain is how one will die! But I have learned with time that death does not have a final word in life.

The Apostle Paul says “Death is swallowed in victory, O death, where is your victory, O death, where is your sting?” (2 Cor. 15: 54). This text is interpreted very well by Handel in Messiah. Listening to its musical rendition sure makes a joke of the finality of death.
