Prosecutor faces corruption charge

Moloko Ursula Mokgokong, 47, who was not in court due to ill health, was represented by her attorney Tshekiso Tshekiso of Kgalemang and Associates when the suspects appeared before Chief Magistrate Chris Gabanagae on Tuesday. Mokgokong is said to be on a six-months sick leave in South Africa.
The six pleaded not guilty to contravening Section 24 (2) as read with Section 36 of the Corruption and Economic Crimes Act.
The other five accused are Emmanuel Richard Mutasa, 61, a director of Monty Builders and resident of Area W, Francistown, Reuben Tshule, 37, a principal technical officer, Julius Selemogwe, 40, also a principal technical officer, Thapelo Duna, 31 and Keolopile Simane, 30.
