IIA Botswana Urges Interaction With Management

Local internal auditors have stepped up efforts to enhance appreciation of the profession, as it has traditionally been regarded as ancillary to an organisation's core business.

International Internal Auditors (IIA) Botswana last week held their inaugural conference in Gaborone, bringing together local and international players to boost the profession's profile.

Delegates said internal auditing is seen as crucial only at the end of projects, while the involvement of internal auditors from project conception is vital as they aid in risk management.
