Local Government Minister and Boteti South MP Lebonaamang Mokalake’s second attempt to reclaim the Constituency in the Bulela Ditswe re-run on Saturday came to naught as youngster Sethomo Lelatisitswe repeated the feat, this time winning by 1,575 to Mokalake’s 1,502 votes. Another candidate Oboetswe Gabotlale got 31 votes.

Minister Mokalake was among eight MPs and five cabinet ministers who fell in the November 11, 2013 Bulela Ditswe Primaries North of Dibete. The casualties included Justice Minister and Presidential hopeful Ndelu Seretse, Foreign Affairs Minister Phandu Skelemani, two assistant ministers, Oreeditse Molebatsi and Gloria Somolekae. Deputy speaker of the National Assembly Pono Moathodi  and two other MPs, Frank Ramsden and Reynar Makosha  completed the big tumbling of 2013.
