Miss Millemium seeks to emulate her predecessors :: Mmegi Online

Just like her predecessors, the 2014 Miss Millennium, Rachel Keddy, has committed herself to working for the community through charity. Keddy has tried her luck in the Miss Millennium pageants in the past but finally scooped the crown this year. Last year, she was the first princess in the contest meant for women of 40 years and above.

During the judges’ question time, Keddy proved that she is not a beauty without brains as she performed brilliantly. The 50 year-old beauty queen originates from Mahalapye but is married in Molepolole. She works for stationery company, Nashua in Gaborone.

In her new role as Miss Millennium 2014, she says she will continue where the previous queens left. She intends to make a difference to the under-privileged members of society. “I would really like to work with children with disabilities. I would also like to help street children who need shelter,” she says.
