'Give us two weeks to register our party' - Barata-Phathi

The Barata-Phathi , a breakaway group of the ruling Botswana Democratic Party will announce the name of their new party in two weeks after it has been registered and its colours decided, according to spokesperson, Sidney Pilane, speaking on Wednesday this week.

He also stated that Kweneng South East MP, Edward Raletobana, told the Barata-Phathi  that he is trying to facilitate mediation between them and BDP president, Ian Khama.

Raletobana  is reported to have met Khama without the blessing of the Barata-Phathi and they discussed the faction's  intention to break away and form a new party.
