BDF IX massacre Vikings

Army side BDF IX ended their southern region Shell Softball League campaign in style, massacring Vikings 17-3 in a highly charged encounter played on Saturday at the UB Diamond.

The soldiers, who struggled in the last few games, were merciless on Saturday despite fielding several rookie players in their side. It took them three runs for them to get their first run.

Vikings had opened the scoring early in the bottom one inning courtesy of a homer by Gomolemo Tshelametse.
