Judgement on abandoned TAFIC vs Mochudi Centre Chiefs game

The Coca-Cola Cup Organising Committee met on the 16 March 2010 to make a determination on the outcome of the game between TAFIC and Mochudi Centre Chiefs that was played at Selebi Phikwe on 9 March 2010.

The committee had the opportunity to assess and study the Referee's and Match Commissioner's Reports and made the following determination. As per BFA Play Rules and Regulations article 8.0 "Stoppage and Abandonment of the game" the following determination was made: 1.0 In accordance with article 8.1, the officiating referee stopped the game following assaults and threats of the second assistant Referee by TAFIC players and officials  2.0 As per article 8.2 "where a game is abandoned on account of misconduct of one of the participating teams, the guilty team shall lose the game with three points and two goals in favour of the innocent team". In summary, as per the Referee and Match commissioner's Reports, TAFIC Sporting Club is the guilty team and therefore shall lose the game with three points and two goals. Thus, Mochudi Centre Chiefs proceeds to the semi - finals of the 2009/2010 Coca-Cola Cup.

Please note that all other incidents of violence and misbehaviour have been referred to the BFA Disciplinary Committee for hearing and ruling.
