BPC, WUC monopoly comes to an end

An estimated P30 million has been set aside in the 2014/15 budget the establishment of the Authority. However, Batswana and businesses have been warned to prepare for more expensive electricity in future as the private sector invests in the provision of electricity. The ministry warns that independent power producers’ tariffs will have a knock on effect on the national tariffs.
