Our soccer national team is hopeless. Let’s all agree. I mean, here are guys who individually and collectively purport to be proper footballers, but when the occasion to prove it arises, they just drop their pants and squat for other guys to do what they like with them! African teams do what they li... Posted on: Friday, 19 October, 2012

The nuance is subtle, the jabs are thrown but with much respect for the opponent. Each time one mentions the opponent’s name, the Prefix ‘Mr. President’ is used or ‘Governor’ in the case of President Obama referring to Governor Mitt Romney. I didn’t use to know where I stood with the death penalty until I came to Gaborone. As it may have occurred to you, I come from the village; in the village, while people are generally backward and don’t give a hoot about anything, they think twice about stealing your woman. Yes, President Khama must fire the Minister of Health Reverend Seakgosing. Botswana was hit by HIV drug shortages for the past four weeks. Had it not been because of the BONELA team who unearthed this issue for the nation, we would’ve have known. I wonder how many scandals went unnoticed in the past... Third world countries are fascinating; sometimes with their cynical ways of doing things. While in South Africa it has been a scandal over text books, one comes home to a scandal of a reported shortage of critical life saving drugs - Anti Retroviral drugs for people with a low CD4 count. Well, some ... Posted on: Thursday, 11 October, 2012
