Investec Asset Management this week announced that is has been appointed by the Investment Committee of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to manage a global fixed income mandate. A statement from Investec Asset Management Botswana revealed yesterday that of the 14 external managers appointed to manage a combined $7bn (P45.5 billion), Investec Asset Management is the only African-rooted manager to have been awarded a mandate. The other managers include JP Morgan Chase, HSBC, BNP Paribas and Credit Suisse.
