Khama accused of impropriety
A Gaborone lawyer, Doreen Khama has been reported to the Law Society of Botswana (LSB) after allegations of improper, dishonourable and disgraceful conduct in a land and shares investment deal. In an affidavit to the Law Society dated September 25, 2006 Lindiwe Mabuthoe says that Khama's questionable conduct resulted in her and her husband Dr Sitali Chibumba losing P316,000.

Setshwaelo denies BAM rift
An alleged rift between the Botswana Alliance Movement (BAM) negotiating team in opposition cooperation talks and the party president, Lepetu Setshwaelo, is said to be stalling the negotiations. Insiders have revealed that an opposition cooperation meeting on Saturday had to be postponed so that the BAM negotiating team could consult with Setshwaelo.

More than 500 debaters from the country's junior and senior secondary schools will converge at Legogang Community Junior Secondary School in Selebi-Phikwe for the second national schools debating championships next weekend.

Gumare school gets dance attire
Wayeyi cultural pressure group, the Kamanakao Association donated eight traditional dance attire (mawayawaya) to Gumare primary school on Friday.
