Draft plan for Moremi Game Reserve underway - DWNP
SANTAWANI: The Department of Wildlife and National Parks (DWNP) held a consultative workshop within the Okavango delta to discuss issues pertinent with communities living around the delta last weekend. Senior DWNP official, Mophuthulodi Modise in her presentation said that a second draft plan on the management of the Moremi Game Reserve was underway.

Maintaining Gaborone's fitness levels
Though Gaborone West Fitness Centre was not the first gymnasium to be opened in Gaborone, it was the first Motswana-owned gym to be opened. It all started in the 80s after the owner Soca Moruakgomo - who is also a renowned jazz musician - quit the army. The small-framed Moruakgomo, who is one of the top karatekas in the country, started a karate school at the African Mall in 1986. Sensei Moruakgomo who is also a fifth black belt is the only Motswana who is doing karate on a full time basis and trained as a karate instructor in Japan.
