We did not blame Khama-Sentsho
I would like to respond to Mmegi article of 17 February 2006, entitled, "Implementation Worries in the Budget," which was coverage of the panel discussion organised by the Botswana Economics Association (BEA) at the University of Botswana, on the 15 February 2006. The article claims that "The gathering of business students, academics, labour and organised business representatives and the public was happy with the P5.8 billion development budget and said the challenge now lies with implementation." The article further says "But they blame the slow implementation of projects on the Vice President." "There must be shortage of capacity on the Vice President to implement projects."

Rejecting youth motion no good
It has been reported in the newspapers that the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) majority in Parliament have succeeded in opposing the motion by Gaborone Central MP Dumelang Saleshando calling on "government to review all youth economic empowerment schemes and consider the consolidation of such programmes with the view of establishing a national revolving fund that offered equity finance, subsidised loans and grants on substantial basis"
