It's a small matter - Bhamjee
Embattled FIFA executive committee member, Ismail Bhamjee arrived in the country on Tuesday and said he has done nothing illegal to warrant a sacking from his soccer duties. He was reacting to reports that FIFA president Sepp Blatter had said it is up to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to deal with him after he was sent packing from the World Cup in Germany because he was caught peddling tickets at three times their value.

BIAC isn't a college - principal
Botswana Institute of Administration and Commerce (BIAC) was never created as a public college and has not drifted from its mandate of training civil servants, the principal, Victoria Maphanyane has said. She was responding to rumours that the institution would be restructuring to lock out Form Five leavers. She said they admit Form Fives when there is less enrolment by civil servants.

Judge expresses concern over youth and knives
Lobatse High Court Judge, Steven Gaongalelwe has expressed concern about young men who go about armed with knives. He said there have been many instances when young men carry knives for no apparent reasons.

BOFESETE becomes a trade union
The Botswana Federation of Secondary School Teachers (BOFESETE) is now a trade union. BOFESETE president Eric Ditau said that they have now changed the name of the organisation to BOSETU - Botswana Secondary Teachers Trade Union. He is happy that the union status will give them stronger bargaining power.

COCEPWA property goes under the hammer
The property of the troubled NGO, Coping Centre for People Living with HIV/AIDS (COCEPWA) will go under the hammer on June 29 at Broadhurst Police Station in Gaborone. The items to be sold include office equipment and furniture.
