COCEPWA property goes under the hammer

The property of the troubled NGO, Coping Centre for People Living with HIV/AIDS (COCEPWA) will go under the hammer on June 29 at Broadhurst Police Station in Gaborone. The items to be sold include office equipment and furniture.

The auction follows a court judgment against COCEPWA for a debt of P22,376 and 10 percent interest owed to Vintage Travel and Tours. The auction is also meant to recover collection commission and legal costs. COCEPWA's troubles started in 2004 when it closed its Gaborone offices at Phase 4 leaving its clients high and dry. It has since been operating from Princess Marina Hospital porta-camps. Send us your comments about Mmegi newspaper Search For Old Newspaper Editions To advertise contact us through email
