Does the Haditha massacre in Iraq typify US conduct of the war? In the early morning of November 19, 2005, in Haditha, a town in Anbar Province in Western Iraq described as the epicentre of the Sunni Arab insurgency, a roadside bomb struck a passing US army Humvee vehicle, killing one of the US marines on board.
