BDP Feud Goes To Court
FRANCISTOWN: It is now confirmed. The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) factional feuds in Francistown will be taken to court. The just-ousted Francistown mayor, Ignatius Moswaane told Monitor last Saturday that he will instruct his attorneys today to take the Francistown City Council (FCC) to court to challenge the mayoral elections of January 9.

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Consultant’s engaged to conduct a detailed study on the economic diversification of Selebi-Phikwe have already arrived in the copper-nickel mining town. John Cole-Baker and James McLeod of the CSA Group of UK will be in Selebi-Phikwe for eight weeks to carry out their study.

UB Fires History Professor
The University of Botswana (UB) has sacked a history lecturer following an inquiry into allegations of misconduct against him. Professor Gilbert Sekgoma was summarily dismissed on Friday after the investigations. UB was not in a position to disclose information that led to his dismissal.
