Beer prices rise again
After February 20, beer drinkers will be expected to pop out more for their favourite St Louis lager. Just after the government drafted a drastic legislation to restrict liquor trading hours, Kgalagadi Breweries has also announced a price increase.

‘Botswana health market hostile’
African Life Health (ALH) yesterday admitted that the Botswana health care market is “hostile” and “competitive”, but the company was bullish as it announced its purchase by Momentum of South Africa. “It is a hostile market with two already established competitors. It is hard to penetrate,” Dr Peter Botha, ALH managing director told a press conference.

Bristol-Myers to licence AIDS drug in India, Africa
CHICAGO, - Bristol-Myers Squibb on Wednesday said it cut a deal with two generic drugmakers to allow cheap versions of its newest AIDS drug to be made in sub-Saharan Africa and India, where millions suffer from the disease.

Bird flu hits Germany,Europe tries to stop spread
