No Hype As Diesel, Paraffin Prices Rise
The Ministry of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources, has increased the price of diesel by 6 Thebe per litre while illuminating paraffin has been increased by 25 Thebe per litre. Compared to the hype when government announces an increase in petrol prices, it seems it is not the same when there is an increase in only paraffin and diesel.

Govt, EC Sign Education Agreement
The government and the European Commission (EC) last week signed a £50 million (P325 million) financing agreement in support of education and training over the next four years, a joint statement from the Finance Ministry and EC said on Friday.

Namibia Wants Botswana Style Diamond Deal
LONDON: Negotiations for the renewal of De Beers' contract to mine diamonds in Namibia have reached an apparent impasse. It has emerged that the Namibians are holding out for a 'Botswana-style deal' in which the producing country has a say in marketing the diamonds and De Beers' promotes cutting and polishing in the country; the Belgium-based Diamond High Council said Thursday in its Antwerp Facets.
