Molosiwa saves the day
Batswana finally had something to cheer about at the ongoing 16th Africa Chess Championships (AJC) as Kagiso Molosiwa registered the first full point for the country. The current Botswana Under-21 champion defeated Angola's Carlos Fernandes in a tense game that lasted four-and-a- half hours to bring smiles to the team and country in what is so far a gloomy tournament for Botswana.

Masomere looks to the future
When he arrived at Gaborone United (GU) to replace sacked Stanley Mwaanga two months ago, Zimbabwean-born tactician Luke Masomere was seen as a messiah who would take the 'Reds' back to glory days. And this led to GU spokesperson Amogelang Thaga nicknaming the man 'Mourinho' because he believed that his tactical and technical know-how was second to none.

I stick to my instincts -- Sithole
Mochudi Centre Chiefs' coach Mike Sithole says he is a principled man who does not take any instruction from anyone. Recently there have been rumours that Sithole and Daniel Nare have been given instructions to field Stanley Tsolope at the expense of youngster Keaketswe "Mara" Moloi.
