12/20/2006 4:38:31 PM (GMT +2)

The Botswana Police Service is offering a reward of up to P100 000-00 to anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of suspects who allegedly attacked and robbed Fidelity Cash Management Services of over US$800 000-00 and 80 000-00 Euros in cash at Sir Seretse Khama Airport yesterday afternoon (18 December 2006).

The money was in transit to one of the commercial banks in Gaborone from Sir Seretse Khama Airport. A 32-year-old man, an employee of the company, sustained injuries during the attack. The suspects, who were armed with handguns, escaped in a get-away car suspected to be a silver Mercedes Benz.

Meanwhile, commercial banks and providers of forex services are requested to inform the police of any suspicious person(s) who may present the above mentioned currencies for foreign exchange services.

Anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects can call the Sir Seretse Khama Airport Police on 3909935, 999 or the toll free number 9800 600 144 or the nearest police station.
