The Four Skinheads In Dark Suits

They were well dressed for the occasion. They all sported clean-shaven heads and wore suits. Old man George, slender and towering, looked respectable in his black suit. Poloko and Moses glamorous in their grey suits and so was Kenneth in his black suit. For a while their glamorous looks contrasted well with the atmosphere at the empty Kgotla. George Moeng and his three sons had arrived at the Ntloedibe ward Kgotla to press forward with the old man's quest to wrestle the Bakwena royal throne from Kgari Sechele.

When the meeting finally started at about 9.27am, about 50 people had gathered at the Kgotla, but the numbers increased drastically later. For about 15 minutes, the Moengs' interacted and chatted with members of the ward. As they walked about, talking to people and greeting journalists, they all wore wide smiles that portrayed innocence, peace, and tranquility. They spoke in low tones and sound so humble as they pressed flesh. Ironically, it is the same humble looking characters with the appearance of innocence and the smiles that betray peace, that are now all out to launch a plot to dethrone the Kgari dynasty.

Since last year when their move to introduce themselves as the rightful heirs was rejected by Bakwena at the main Kgotla, the Moengs have not been willing to discuss the matter. "The time will come when we will be ready to answer all questions. We had intended to answer all questions at this meeting. This book that I am holding in my hand is full of amazing facts. But you will have to be patient. We will call you and explain everything you need to know," said the old man George when asked to explain why he has suddenly turned against Kgari. He was one of Kgari's right hand men a few years ago when the paramount chief was fending off a formidable challenge from the late Mokgalagadi Sechele.
