Botswana Police Spokesperson Superintendent Solomon Mantswe has said that police use handcuffs and leg irons on violent suspects. It is just over a year since a three year-old Molepolole boy went missing. Raofana Baleseng of Ratshosa Ward went missing on March 18, last year and Molepolole Police chief, superintendent Bee Majakumbisi said they were still looking for the boy, although they were no longer conducting a search. He said the police would still welcome any information about his whereabouts. However, the police chief said they do not believe the boy is still alive.Black Earth hits the ground running
A few weeks after getting the Broadcast Licence offer from the National Broadcasting Board of Botswana (NBB), Black Earth Communications (BEC) is working round the clock to make sure that once the actual licence is granted, operations begin immediately. In the recent impasse between UB administration and the students over food prices, some sections of the students' community had made allegations that the reason why the administration was unyielding to their demands was because senior UB officials and some cabinet ministers were beneficiaries in their misery. Tomorrow will be an eventful day for all Christian denominations as preparations for the Easter holiday celebrations are already at an advanced stage. "We have finally wrapped up preparations for the holidays," spokesperson for the Zion Christian Church (ZCC), Daniel Moloi said on Monday. Easter holidays start tomorrow until Monday April 17, and tens of thousands of people will be crossing borders to attend pilgrimages or just to spend money.
