We should benefit from these visits
We have recently been blessed with the visits of Presidents from other countries. Within the short space of a week, the new Tanzanian President Jakaya Kikwete and the German President Horst Kohler made state visits. We are particularly glad that Kikwete's visit to Botswana is one of the first the newly elected President has embarked upon. For him to have chosen Botswana as one of his first ports of call shows that we have something of value that the new president was eager to learn. These types of visits do not only foster friendship but they lead to trade relations that would eventually benefit citizens of the two countries.
