Matebele seek revenge
BDF XI will seek revenge when they visit national champions, Township Rollers for a Mascom Premier League game at the National Stadium tonight. Matebele are still smarting from a 3-1 defeat inflicted by Rollers during the Coca-Cola Cup final at the same venue in August. Earlier, BDF XI had watched in agony as Popa dethrone them as national champions.

Majombolo survive Satmos scare
SELEBI PHIKWE: By the end of the long awaited local derby, the scores stood at 2-2, perhaps much to the relief of pre-match favourites Nico United. Despite the high billing, Majombolo had a rough time in the Mascom Premier League match and were constantly tormented by town rivals FC Satmos. The log leaders were put on the ropes for much of the duel by a Satmos side that seem to have thoroughly prepared for battle. Matters were made worse by Majombolo when striker Eric Molebatsi was sent off in the second. In the end, Nico relied on two penalties, one at the stroke of fulltime to avoid defeat.

Rampant North East win Orange Youth Cup
FRANCISTOWN: Rampant North East District Under-12 football team was crowned the champions of the annual Orange Youth Cup for the second time after an emphatic 4-0 wallop of neighbours Francistown in the final over the weekend. North East won the inaugural edition in 2000.
