Thrilling night of dance at G-Sun
It was a glittering event as the Botswana Dance Sports Association (BDSA) held a rare dance night at the Gaborone Sun on Friday. Performing under the dim Persian lights, local dancers from three clubs in Gaborone thrilled hundreds of enthusiasts. This is the second show of its kind in Gaborone after BDSA staged the first event at Tsholofelo Hall early this year. Two other publicity shows were held in Tonota and Selebi-Phikwe as a way of reviving dancing as a sport after a long time of inactivity.

Please don’t leave me here!
“The Magdalene Sisters” (2002) is being shown on today only at 7pm at the Maru a Pula School, A/V Centre (Gaborone Film Society). This powerful and very disturbing film won a Golden Lion or Best Film at the Venice Film Festival in 2002. The film revolves around the lives of four young women.
