Young Zebras in tough group
The Young Zebras have been drawn in a tough group for the upcoming Vodacom COSAFA Under-20 Youth Championships to be held in Durban, South Africa. The tournament will run from December 3-11. Botswana has been grouped together against hosts and defending champions, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Mozambique.

Rollers rise to the top
National champions, Township Rollers maintained their good run over BDF XI last night in a Mascom Premier League match at the National Stadium. Rollers who beat Matebele 3-1 in the final of the Coca-Cola Cup once again emerged victorious 2-1 in the league game. By beating the army side, Popa toppled Nico United from the top of the league table with 14 points after seven matches.

Lusaka hell for Botswana players
Despite a highly credible performance, top local player, Ignatius Njobvu says the Botswana team went through hell at the recent Africa Chess Championship in Lusaka, Zambia because of lack of a coach. The Botswana captain said that at some point, newly crowned African women champion, Tuduetso Sabure burst into his hotel room in tears looking for technical assistance. “She came crying and said ‘I have just seen all my opponents coaches plotting my downfall with their players’.
