FRANCISTOWN: Chief Justice Julian Nganunu has applauded women for their role in developing the country. Speaking at the International Women’s Day commemoration at the Francistown Civic Centre yesterday, Nganunu said women should be treated as equals in all areas including decision-making.

Court orders dismissed Debswana employees out
FRANCISTOWN: The Francistown High Court last Friday ordered former Debswana employees to vacate the company’s houses by March 17. Justice Moses Chinhengo mandated Debswana to take action if the employees, who were dismissed last August failed to comply with the order.

Elephant gores NWDC vehicle
FRANCISTOWN: North West District Council secretary, Paulos Nkoni failed to reach his destination recently when an enraged elephant gored a vehicle he was travelling in near Kachikau village. His driver who dodged a possible head on collision with the animal immediately caught flu, he said.
