AB likely to realise low profits
Air Botswana (AB) is expected to post low profits for 2004/05 due to rising fuel costs, attributed to the US-Iraq situation, US dollar exchange rate fluctuations and increase in charter operations necessitated by aircraft downtime.

Collection of outstanding tax intensifies
Assistant Minister of Finance, Duncan Mlazie told Parliament on Monday that follow-ups are being intensified to collect outstanding tax. Parliament heard that Botswana Unified Revenue Service (BURS) is currently in arrears amounting to about P182 million in respect of Value Added Tax (VAT).
