State makes new diplomatic appointments

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced new diplomatic appointments and re-deployments. Former Assistant Minister of Agriculture and ex-MP for Tswapong South, Pelokgale Seloma is the new ambassador to Zimbabwe while Oscar Motswagae, a Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry has been appointed ambassador to Japan.


The chief of protocol, Bernadette Rathedi has been appointed ambassador to Sweden in place of Naomi Majinda, who moves to China in the same capacity. Tshenolo Modise, the Director of Multilateral Affairs in the Ministry has been appointed ambassador to Belgium and European Union. Oteng Tebape, ambassador to Japan; Sasara George, ambassador to Belgium and European Union; and Mothusi Nkgowe, ambassador to Zimbabwe have been re-deployed to the ministry headquarters. The appointees will take their posts at the end of July, save for Majinda who has already started her job in China.
