Thato Chwaane
Staff Writer

2/21/2005 3:20:35 PM (GMT +2)

Khama pointed out that the issue of Boipelo had generated a lot of criticism from the media pointed at government. However, he said the government had limited resources and could not do everything, having directed over P600 million to the HIV/AIDS programme.

Khama said that it was time the rest of society stepped in to assist.

Meanwhile, Khama called for people to help children who are poor, disabled, unhealthy or have no proper parental care, as they are part of the national family and responsibility.

The target for the fundraising was P100 000. Khama is the chairman of Sponsor A Child Trust Fund.
