Itchy TAFIC aim for quick comeback
FRANCISTOWN: Pacesetters TAFIC are itching to win the Med Rescue First Division North League to make a quick return to premiership football. Since their relegation last season, Matjimenyenga look organised and on course to win the First Division North League.

Suspended players lambast BSA
Players suspended from the national team activities for ‘boycotting’ the Zone Six games in Lesotho in May, have lambasted the Botswana Softball Association (BSA) president Marumo Morule and his executive committee for failure to communicate.

FCC halve stadium charges
FRANCISTOWN: Francistown City Council (FCC) has agreed to cut the charges for soccer teams using its stadium by 50 percent to promote sports in the city. Soccer teams have been paying the FCC 40 percent of gate takings for hosting games at the Francistown City Council Stadium. They will now pay 20 percent after the FCC passed a motion to that effect.

Carats vow to win national championship
Orapa-based Carats men’s softball team has vowed to win the national championship this weekend. The tournament takes place at the National Diamond in Gaborone. Carats are still oozing with confidence after winning the Barloworld competition in Jwaneng during the Independence Day holidays.
