Chris Gayle, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Dwayne Bravo and Fidel Edwards are also eligible for selection, the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) said in a statement.
The five did not take part in the first test because of fears their personal sponsorship contracts with Cable & Wireless would clash with the team’s main sponsor Digicel.
Sarwan and Gayle cancelled their deals with Cable & Wireless last week, albeit too late to play. Bravo and Edwards have since terminated their personal contracts, the WICB said.
Lara was invited by the WICB to play in the first test in Georgetown, which ends on Monday, but declined in a show of solidarity with the other players involved in the dispute. (Reuters)
