ATL assesses progress since suspension from BSE
The troubled tourism outfit - Afritourism Limited (ATL), held its much-awaited annual general meeting (AGM) on Monday, without the expected fireworks from its shareholders. This was the first meeting - which included shareholders - since the company was suspended from trading from the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) venture capital board.

Motsomi concerned about future of African economy
The presentation was delivered at the just ended Eastern Central and Southern African Federation of Accountants (ECSAFA) whose theme was ‘A Shining Opportunity for Change.’ He said many African countries depend on exporting primary commodities, making the economies’ lifeblood hinge on global prices and export markets. This makes such economies susceptible to external demand shocks and global price fluctuations, he noted. He supported his point with a series of events that occurred in the last decade.
