PEEPA boss downplays negative effects of privatisation
The chief executive officer of the Public Enterprises Evaluation and Privatisation Agency (PEEPA), Joshua Galeforolwe, on Tuesday downplayed the possible negative effects of privatisation when he made his keynote speech at the BOFESETE Annual Conference at Lobatse Secondary School.

Debswana strikers ‘being evicted’
Debswana employees who have been dismissed for taking part in the on-going strike at the company’s mines are being evicted from company-owned homes, the Botswana Mine Workers Union has said.

ZIMBABWE’S tobacco crop, one of its main sources of hard currency, has fallen for the fourth year in a row. Official figures show Zimbabwe had sold just over 64 million kilograms of the plant by Monday, the penultimate day of the 2004 tobacco selling season.
