Grand opening planned for soccer season
The organising committee of the St. Louis Premier League say they are working round the clock for a memorable grand opening for the new campaign.

BMC win boxing tournament
The Botswana Meat Commission (BMC) won the Botswana Amateur Boxing Association (BABA) inter-club tournament on Saturday at Lobatse Senior Secondary School. Abel Kandela, a student at the school pounded his opponent mercilessly to help BMC to victory. He ran amok in the last round and beat the day lights out of Kholani Ntshupetsang of Selibe Phikwe BDF club.

CAF changes awards format
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced a new method for selecting the African Player of the Year. Speaking at a news conference in Cairo, CAF’s general secretary Mustapha Fahmy said the continent’s 52 national associations would now be involved in the selection process. This is in contrast to the previous system, in which only members of CAF’s media and technical committee’s selected the recipient of the award.

BDF VI redeem their glory
BDF VI volleyball club have redeemed themselves by beating Mhlume from Swaziland 3-0 in the second game of the ongoing Zone VI Club Championships in Johannesburg, South Africa. This was sweet victory for the soldier dominated club as they were still reeling from a 3-0 drubbing by TRW of South Africa in the first game.
