The Drunk Who Made The Difference
One drunk made the difference between a near let down, and what could have been an exciting prelude to the night’s main attraction, Jimmy Dludlu, at the Stanbic Bank sponsored jazz festival last Friday. The pianist on Brenda Taukobong’s first set, whoever he was, lived out his hallucinations on stage, floating from the thumping keyboardist, to photographer before peaking into the dance of the possessed gaxeba as he glided between cloud nine and Seventh Heaven.

Marulelo Makes Cut While Ditiragalo Does Not
Ke Mo Tsere is the first album from the three-member group, Marulelo under the production guidance of Gopadileng “Astley Gops” Gopadileng. The trio is made up of Kutlwano “Jubbie” Dimpe, Tebogo “Auntie” Legase-Kopi and Arthur “Ecco” Ntebe, who formed the group earlier this year. In its infancy the group has already performed alongside some of the country’s most notable artists such as Franco, Les Africa Sounds and Mr Tag.

Snacking The Nutritious Way- Avoid The Pitfalls
Another week another chance to eat and snack healthfully! I just had a large bowl of mixed fruit salad and two glasses of water followed by some green tea. This was my afternoon snack on a lazy Sunday. What did you have? I wonder. Hopefully not a chunk of braai meat, considering that it is summer and it is a weekend.
