How the teams will perform
The long-awaited St Louis Premier League kicks off tomorrow evening. Almost all the teams went all out to strengthen their squads in order to cope with what will undoubtedly be a demanding season. Rookies Orapa Wanderers, ECCO City Green, Nico United, Flamengo Santos and old horses Township Rollers are expected to come to the party with a point to prove.

Karate team for World Championships
THE Botswana Karate Association (BOKA) is sending a team of eight to the 17th Karate World Championships in Monterrey, Mexico. The event takes place from November 18-21.

Federer pulls out of Davis Cup team
BERN: Swiss World number one Roger Federer will not play the first round of next season’s Davis Cup. Federer told a news conference on Wednesday that the decision had been “very difficult” but said his priority for 2005 had to be the defence of his number one ranking.
