Barclays Revamps Its Home Loans Scheme
Barclays Bank of Botswana launched its revamped home loan scheme in Gaborone last Thursday. The new mortgage scheme offers prospective property buyers or developers a loan ceiling of up to 85 percent on the price tag of a house to be bought, renovated or built.

Foods Botswana Comes Out Tops At FOBEX
Foods Botswana (Pty) Ltd was nominated the best company in the food and beverages category at the just ended Food and Beverage Exhibition (FOBEX). Woolworths claimed second spot while third position went to Senn Foods and National Food Technology Research Centre jointly. The FOBEX fair - which ended on Saturday - was the fourth of its kind to be held in Gaborone.

Food, Beverages Important Part Of Tourism Sector - Gakale
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism - Dr Lucas Gakale said food and beverages are important for enhancing the value of the local tourism sector. Gakale was speaking last Thursday when he officially opened the just ended food and beverages exhibition (FOBEX) in Gaborone. About 25 local participants and one exhibitor from Lesotho attended the exhibition. The show ended on Saturday.

Mogae Welcomes Investors From China
GABORONE - The government welcomes investors of any kind, including those from China, President Festus Mogae told Xinhua on Thursday in an exclusive interview in his office. “Botswana welcomes investors from all countries, especially those from China,” the president said, adding that the country boasts many facilities for foreign investors.
